Well folks, election season is upon us once again. Our chance to make this brutal year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Five a little less brutal.
Here at Something for Cate, we’re waiting for the nominations to be completed (April 10) and the ballots drawn and publicised (April 11). Once that particular Rubicon is crossed, we’ll be presenting our analysis to you all. The noses will be to the grindstone, the midnight oil will be burnt, and we’ll do our very best for you. You know the deal.
We have also added a “How To Vote” section, with a selection of guides on how to go about enrolling to vote, updating an existing enrolment, and filling out the ballot papers.
Thank you.
Something for Cate, is the best part of the electoral cycle.
May I suggest that many people are across the major parties – how they perform, do they deliver, and so on.
I would love to see info about the Independent candidates and smaller parties published earlier in your process.
Some idea of whether incumbents voted according to their election publications and pronouncements would be good too.
I had such high hopes for my MP, but they didn’t achieve much.
Many thanks for your fabulous service.
Can I buy you some coffees?
Love your work, looking forward to it.
Does anyone know of a site similar to Cluey Voter, senate.io or belowtheline.org for organising one’s senate preferences.
The above websites have either not been updated, or have disappeared altogether.
There’s two options in our links section!
Neither Cluey Voter nor Senate Voting Card Creator have updated for 2025 yet, and Build A Ballot doesn’t allow for below the line voting 🙁
I’ve emailed Cluey Voter, and sent feedback to Build A Ballot
Well, that’s all rather disappointing. I also spoke to one of the people from Below The Line, and alas, they will not be back for this election.
