Preferences: The IAPA has only provided a preference card for the QLD Senate, but it’s unlikely their preferences would differ that much. So, we have Socialist Alliance at 2, followed by Legalise Cannabis and Australia’s Voice at 3 and 4. Fusion come in at 5 and the Greens at 6. Mostly left-leaning parties, which isn’t terribly surprising. And it gives some idea of how they might vote outside of their declared policies areas.

Fusion will recommend preferences based on other candidates’ alignment with our vision and principles. Fusion aligns with other parties that value action on the climate emergency, integrity in politics, pragmatic solutions to a stronger economy, justice, equity, and social responsibility.
It’s fair to say that we do not regard the current government as good or effective, and have created the party to provide voters with an alternative that reflects their views.

Preferences: The HEART Party is a member of the Australia First Alliance group of far-right parties. Untangling the preference swaps in this Alliance is a nightmare, and Great Australian Party spokesperson William Bay’s accusation that the Libertarians have done secret deals with the Liberal Party has seen several vocal supporters hurrying to Instagram and Facebook to post videos exhorting followers of HP to abandon the Libertarians. At this point, all I can tell you with any certainty is that – inexplicably – HP is advising voters to preference People First ahead of their own candidates.
